These past 2 weeks were a whirlwind of vacation, sightseeing, and love. My parents and Damon saw mountains, waterfalls, wild animals and more. We visited over 7 different states, met up with West Coast family members and friends I haven’t seen in years, and even won money at Roulette our first time in Vegas. Check out our YouTube playlist for the video blogs from the trip! Some of them are still being edited though…so make sure you subscribe! While in San Francisco on our last night of vacation, Damon and I wanted to go off and do something on our own. The day tour we planned was a fiasco. I won’t go into details but towards the end of the day my parents dropped us off for a ghost tour and returned back to the hotel while we went on to enjoy the rest of the evening. After the tour we took a cab and the cab driver suggested we try Little Italy. While sitting and talking at the restaurant, all of a sudden I began sharing my feelings about having moved to New York 7 years ago and how hard it was for me; not having any family up here; how incredibly lonely I had felt until I met Damon. I turned to look over at him and he had tears in his eyes too. Then I felt his energy shift and next thing I know I’m asking him why he is so nervous. Then he gets down on his knees and says to me, “You will never have to worry about that. I love you. Will you marry me?” I of course am completely stunned and have to turn to him and say “Are you sure!?” at least ten times before I cried and hugged him and stared at the ring (which is completely beautiful by the way). And then while sitting there stunned, he just waited patiently (like he always does) and then finally asked, “So? What do you say?” and I said “YES!”
This man is the most amazing person I know. I love him so much and I know that he and I will continue creating a life together that exceeds all fairy tales. The funniest thing was during the whole trip I saw white feathers, moths, and white things floating around me. I kept pointing them out to Damon and he didn’t say NOTHING. This man is probably one of the only few people who has ever been able to surprise me.
OMG….You guys, I am getting married!!!! No date set yet…but stay tuned…. Quantum Leap-themed wedding is possibly in the works. :p
